How To Block Safaricom Line When Stolen
Here are the steps on how to block your Safaricom line when it is stolen:
- Contact Safaricom customer care. You can do this by calling 100, visiting a Safaricom shop, or sending a message to 224.
- Provide your customer details. This includes your name, ID number, and phone number.
- Report your phone as stolen. You will need to provide a description of your phone, including the make, model, and IMEI number.
- Request that your line be blocked. Safaricom will block your line and prevent anyone from using it.
Once your line has been blocked, you will need to get a new SIM card in order to use your phone again. You can do this at any Safaricom shop.
Here are some additional tips to help protect your phone from theft:
- Use a strong lock screen password. This will make it more difficult for someone to access your phone if it is stolen.
- Install a mobile security app. There are a number of mobile security apps available that can help to protect your phone from theft. These apps can track your phone’s location, lock your phone remotely, and erase your data if your phone is lost or stolen.
- Be aware of your surroundings. When you are in public, be aware of your surroundings and keep your phone close to you. Don’t leave your phone unattended in a public place.
