How To Disable Caller ID On Safaricom
There are two ways to disable caller ID on Safaricom:
- Dial #31# before the phone number you want to call. For example, if you want to call 0722 123 456, you would dial #31#0722 123 456. The person you are calling will see “Private Number” or “Unknown Caller” on their phone.
- Go to your phone’s settings and disable caller ID. The exact steps for doing this will vary depending on your phone model and operating system. However, you should be able to find the setting under “Call settings” or “Caller ID.”
If you disable caller ID for all calls, you will not be able to see the caller ID of the people who call you. To disable caller ID for only specific calls, you can use the #31# method.
Note that some businesses and organizations may be able to see your caller ID even if you have disabled it. This is because they may have special equipment that allows them to do so.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
- If you disable caller ID, you may not be able to use some features of your phone, such as call forwarding and call waiting.
- If you are calling a customer service number, the representative may ask you to provide your caller ID before they can help you.
- If you are calling a government agency, they may also require you to provide your caller ID.
If you have any questions about disabling caller ID, you can contact Safaricom customer service.
