How To Stop Safaricom Messages
There are a few ways to stop Safaricom messages.
1. Use the USSD code
To stop all promotional messages from Safaricom, dial *456#, select option 9, then option 5.
You will then be asked to enter the name of the service you want to stop receiving messages from. Once you have entered the name, select option 1 to stop receiving messages from that service.
2. Call customer care
If you don’t know the name of the service you want to stop receiving messages from, or if you’re having trouble using the USSD code, you can call Safaricom customer care on 100.
They will be able to help you stop receiving messages from any service that you’re subscribed to.
3. Use the MySafaricom app
If you have the MySafaricom app, you can also use it to stop receiving promotional messages.
Open the app, sign in to your account, and then tap on “Profile”.
Under “My Services”, tap on “Promotional Messages”. You will then be able to see a list of all the services that you’re subscribed to.
To stop receiving messages from a service, simply tap on the “Unsubscribe” button next to it.
4. Block the sender
If you only want to stop receiving messages from a specific sender, you can block their number.
To do this, open your SMS app and go to the conversation with the sender. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner and select “Block number”.
Once you have taken one of these steps, you should stop receiving promotional messages from Safaricom.
However, it’s important to note that you may still receive messages from Safaricom about your account balance, upcoming bills, and other important information.
